The present invention is provided with an LSPV (26) for varying rear wheel brake pressure (Pr) in accordance with the rear axle weight, a front wheel brake pressure sensor (27) for detecting the front wheel brake pressure (Pf), a rear wheel brake pressure sensor (28) for detecting the rear wheel brake pressure (Pr) on the side downstream of the LSPV (26), and an ECU (3) for estimating the rear axle weight (WR) on the basis of the relationship between the front and rear brake pressures (Pf, Pr) detected during braking and the rear axle weight characteristic of the LSPV (26), and determining the vehicle barycenter state in the vehicle-width direction on the basis of the estimated rear axle weight (WR). The ECU (3) estimates the rear axle weight (WR) when braking is performed in at least two of the following states: during forward travel, during right turning, and during left turning.
