The invention relates to an electric automotive drive unit, in particular to a structure having drive motor units (20a, 20b) mounted to a vehicle body, the drive motor units (20a, 20b) individually driving left and right wheels, and addresses the problem of improving the life of constant velocity joints, which are power transmitting members, by keeping the operating angle between the input shaft and output shaft of each of the constant velocity joint small. The drive motor units (20a, 20b) for individually driving the left and right wheels (13a, 13b) are mounted on the vehicle body with a sub-frame (13) located therebetween, and as a result, the operating angle between the input shaft and output shaft of each of the constant velocity joints, which are the power transmitting members, is kept small.
