The invention provides a closing method for trussed spud legs. The closing method is applicable to closing of a plurality of spud legs on a self-elevating drilling platform, and comprises the following steps: digging a vertical shaft; setting the spud legs in a segmented manner; mounting the bottom segments of the spud legs; launching a main hull; descending the spud legs into the vertical shaft; closing the spud legs through hoisting; elevating the closed spud legs; moving the main hull; repeating the steps till the closing of all the spud legs is completed. The closing method has the advantages that through digging of the vertical shaft on the seabed, the closing construction space for the spud legs is enlarged; meanwhile, the connected relation between the spud legs and the main hull can be lifted and the lifting height can be positioned, so that closing construction can be conducted on the spud legs through rotating of the main hull. The closing method is relatively low in construction cost; parts of the spud legs are accommodated in the vertical shaft on the seabed, so that the closing construction height for the spud legs is greatly reduced, and the safety is further improved; besides, digging of the vertical shaft can be flexibly adjusted according to the actual requirements, so that the closing method has a relatively high popularization value.
