The invention discloses a safe energy-saving elevator and an application method thereof. The safe energy-saving elevator comprises a car, a hoisting rope, a hoisting machine, a balance weight and a PLC control system. One end of the hoisting rope is connected with the car, the other end of the hoisting rope is connected with the balance weight and hoisted by the hoisting machine, and the PLC control system is simultaneously connected with the car and the hoisting machine. The safe energy-saving elevator further comprises a car calling box. The car calling box comprises a box body, an ARM processor, a key module, a fingerprint module, a power supply module, a display module, a first infrared emitter and a second infrared emitter. The ARM processor is connected with the PLC control system, and the key module, the fingerprint module, the power supply module, the display module, the first infrared emitter and the second infrared emitter are all connected with the ARM processor. A first infrared receiver and a second infrared receiver are arranged outside the car. The safe energy-saving elevator is reasonable in structure, convenient and quick to operate, high in safety, capable of saving energy and preventing vibration from happening in the car when the elevator is emergently stopped, and suitable for popularization.
