The invention relate to a traffic responsive signal control method for a split type road section pedestrian crossing, and belongs to the technical field of intelligent traffic control. The traffic responsive signal control method is characterized in that two groups of motor vehicle signal lights and four groups of pedestrian signal lights are arranged in allusion to the split type road section pedestrian crossing in which two sections of independent pedestrian crossing are arranged in a staggered mode by using a pedestrian crossing traffic island, the two groups of motor vehicle signal lights belong to different motor vehicle phase positions, and the two groups of pedestrian signal lights at one side of the traffic island and the two groups of pedestrian signal lights at the other side of the traffic island belong to different pedestrian phase positions. According to the invention, a traffic operation mode of a motor vehicle phase position preposition or pedestrian phase position preposition is adopted, preposition phase positions cut off the green light time independently, and postposition phase positions cut off the green light time simultaneously. Traffic demands of motor vehicles and pedestrians are monitored in real time by using an annular coil detector and a pedestrian request button. Based on a modular technical framework, and traffic events are taken as a driving mechanism for dynamically adjusting the color of the traffic signal lights and the display time thereof, thereby quickly responding to variations in traffic demand, and making full use of traffic space and time resources.
