The invention discloses a method and device for identifying pavement information. An initial extremum of the change rate of the motor rotating speed is obtained; when the initial extremum is within a preset change range, the amplitude value of the change rate of the rotating speed is set as a basic amplitude value; an extremum, which approaches the initial extremum, of the change rate of the motor rotating speed is obtained; if the timing length between the initial extremum and the proximate extremum is lower than a preset threshold, accumulative assignment is carried out on the basic amplitude value within the preset change range of the proximate extremum to generate an accumulative amplitude value; and whether the accumulative amplitude value is greater than the preset threshold is determined, if yes, a pavement is determined to be bumpy. Thus, pavement information is identified.
