An inclined-hoisting limiter is mainly used in the field of crane safety. Main components of the inclined-hoisting limiter comprise a dual-axis inclination angle sensor (module) and a control instrument. The dual-axis inclination angle sensor is mounted at the tail end of a steel rope (or a steel rope at equalizer pulleys), and detects and limits the angle of inclination (alphaX) in the X axial direction, the angle of inclination (alphaY) in the Y axial direction and the total angle of inclination (alpha) between the steel rope and the plumb line (with the alpha being calculated by measuring the alphaX and the alphaY), thus achieving the objective of detecting and limiting crooked and inclined hoisting of a crane. During installation, the Y axis (or the X axis) of the inclination angle sensor is parallel to a drum shaft so as to determine the inclined hoisting direction and definitions of the angles of inclination in the X and Y axes. When the angle of inclined hoisting reaches a threshold, the inclined-hoisting limiter gives an alarm, hoisting control is in power outage, and the crane can only descend and cannot hoist. The control instrument has a single-hook type and a main/subsidiary hook type according to needs. The dual-axis inclination angle sensor module is mounted in the control instrument to form the compact type inclined-hoisting limiter that is particularly suitable for electric hoists.
