The invention discloses a novel bridge crane with a safety monitoring system. A front small crane carriage limit position detecting device and a rear small crane carriage limit position detecting device are mounted on two end portions of a girder respectively, left large crane carriage anti-collision detecting devices and left large crane carriage position limiting devices are mounted on two end portions of a left end beam respectively, right large crane carriage anti-collision detecting devices and right large crane carriage position limiting devices are mounted on two end portions of a right end beam respectively, a brake braking detection device is mounted on each brake, a safety gate interlock switch is mounted on a guardrail door, a lifting height detecting limiter is mounted on an end portion of a drum, a lifting weight detecting limiter is mounted below a drum base, a mechanism position detecting device is mounted on an electromotor of each mechanism, a PLC (programmable logic controller) is mounted in a control cabinet, and a monitoring screen and an operation console are mounted in a cab. The novel bridge crane with the safety monitoring system has the advantages that the bridge crane can be subjected to real-time monitoring, fault diagnosis, data recording and the like, and safety performance and usage of the bridge crane are improved greatly.
