The invention discloses an underwater terrain exploration robot which includes a protective support and a pedestal, wherein the pedestal is arranged at the inner side of the protective support. A storage battery and a controller shell are installed on the top of the pedestal. A controller is fixedly disposed in an inner chamber of the controller shell. The two sides of the bottom of the pedestal all both connected to a propeller through connecting frames, wherein the propeller includes a propeller shell, a propeller and a propeller driving motor. According to the underwater terrain exploration robot, the protective support is arranged outside the whole robot so that the robot can be prevented from being collided and damaged due to accident. An LED light is arranged in a manner of being inclined toward inner side and inclined downwardly, so that the LED light provides sufficient light for photographing by a camera. The camera is arranged in a manner of being inclined downwardly so that the robot can more intuitively observe underwater terrain. The propeller shell is designed in a streamline-structure so that the underwater terrain exploration robot is convenient to move, thereby saving electricity.
