The invention relates to a mechanical elevator shock absorbing device. The mechanical elevator shock absorbing device comprises a framework horizontally mounted at the bottom of an elevator cage, a crank-link mechanism arranged inside the framework, and a pair of clamping jaws supported at the end part of the framework, wherein the pair of clamping jaws is driven by the crank-link mechanism to clamp an elevator guide rail so as to lock the bottom of the cage to the elevator guide rail; the crank-link mechanism comprises a guide post, a guide sleeve in sliding fit with the guide post, a pair of cranks symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the guide sleeve, and a push-pull rod; the push-pull rod extends in the long axis direction of a guiding section of the guide sleeve; one end of the push-pull rod is fixedly connected with the end part of the guiding section of the guide sleeve; the other end of the push-pull rod is driven by a driving mechanism to push the guide sleeve to slide along the guide post so as to drive the clamping jaws on the cranks to be oppositely clamped or loosened. The mechanical elevator shock absorbing device has the advantages as follows: the mechanical elevator shock absorbing device adopts a mechanical structure, is firm in structure, avoids the conventional mechanical electrical control, improves the safety and the stability, and is convenient to maintain and long in service life.
