The invention discloses an elevator health monitoring system based on Internet of things. The elevator health monitoring system comprises an acceleration sensor, a vibrating sensor, a data acquisition monitor and an upper computer, wherein the acceleration sensor and the vibrating sensor are respectively connected with the data acquisition monitor which is communicated with the upper computer, and the upper computer is used for receiving data sent by the data acquisition monitor and performing analysis and processing on the data. The invention further provides an elevator health monitoring method based on the Internet of things, acceleration data of an elevator car are detected through the acceleration sensor, vibrating data of a motor and a gear case are detected through the vibrating sensor, and then the data are sent to the upper computer for analysis and processing through the data acquisition monitor. According to the elevator health monitoring system and the elevator health monitoring method, real-time monitoring and fault early warning or alarm of the running status of an elevator can be realized, and the running safety of the elevator is effectively guaranteed.
