The invention discloses an all-red signal control method for a yellow light dilemma area and belongs to the field of intelligent traffic control. According to existing signal intersection dilemma solutions, the yellow light dilemma area can not be avoided effectively, vehicles trapped in the yellow light dilemma area can not be protected sufficiently, and maximum traffic efficiency at a signal intersection is hard to obtain on the premise that traffic safety is guaranteed. The method comprises the steps of determining a detection range according to the distribution of the yellow light dilemma area; acquiring the speed of the first vehicle on each through lane and the distance between each first vehicle and a stop line within the detection range continuously from the moment a yellow light is on; judging whether the situation that the dilemma area can not be formed under all the speeds of the first vehicles is true; judging whether the situation that all the first vehicles the speeds of which enable the dilemma area to be formed when the yellow light is on are not trapped in the dilemma area is true; calculating the maximum all-red signal duration for all the first vehicles which are trapped in the dilemma area and continue to travel, feeding the duration back to a traffic signal controller, and switching on an all-red signal after a yellow light signal ends. By the adoption of the method, the vehicles which are trapped in the dilemma area and continue to travel can pass the intersection safely, and the traffic efficiency at the intersection can be improved.
