The invention relates to a telescopic boom which comprises a fixed cylinder and a telescopic cylinder, wherein the fixed cylinder is fixed on a carriage; the telescopic cylinder is arranged inside the fixed cylinder in a sleeved manner and consists of at least two sections of telescopic cylinder bodies; sliding mechanisms are arranged between every two adjacent cylinder bodies in the telescopic cylinder; the telescopic cylinder consists of two sections of the cylinder bodies in a sleeved manner; the cylinder body with large diameter is sleeved on the outside of the cylinder bodies with small diameter; the length of the cylinder body with small diameter is greater than that of the cylinder body with large diameter; a hoisting pulley is mounted inside the cylinder body with small diameter in the telescopic cylinder. The telescopic boom provided by the invention is simple in structure and can be mounted and fixed inside the carriage of a general wagon, goods can be conveniently loaded and unloaded, the working efficiency can be improved, flexible hoisting can be changed into rigid hoisting, accurate positioning can be achieved, and the positioning precision in operation can be improved.
