Provided is a beam type active anti-collision device which belongs to the field of automobile safety technology. For allowing an automobile to have a better anti-collision property, the following technical scheme is utilized: an anti-collision beam is divided into a fixed beam and a movable beam; the movable beam is installed on the fixed beam. The movable beam is able to extend out and retreat back horizontally with respect to the fixed beam. A movable beam retraction locking device is installed on the fixed beam. The movable beam retraction locking device is able to lock the movable beam in the retraction status. The fixed beam is provided with a movable beam extension drive device for driving the movable beam to extend out. The fixed beam is further provided with a movable beam extension locking device. The movable beam extension locking device is able to lock the movable beam in the extension status. The movable beam can be extended and locked for absorbing the collision. A range unit is installed on the automobile. The range unit is connected with a computer. The computer is connected with the movable beam retraction locking device. The beam type active anti-collision device has the advantage of obtaining a larger physical collision space without increasing the total length of the automobile.
