A vehicle-mounted electric drive air-conditioning system comprises a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator and a controller, wherein the compressor is sequentially connected with the condenser and the evaporator, the compressor, the condenser and the evaporator are connected with the controller, the controller is arranged in a cab, the evaporator is installed at the top end of the cab of a motor vehicle, the condenser and the compressor are installed on the portion, outside the cab, of the motor vehicle, a storage battery on the motor vehicle supplies power to the compressor to drive the compressor, and the compressor is further driven through an engine of the motor vehicle. The vehicle-mounted electric drive air-conditioning system is simple in structure and easy to install and is driven by direct currents to reduce oil consumption and save energy; the storage battery supplies power for refrigeration, engine power is not occupied any more, and therefore the power performance of the vehicle is promoted; in a halt state of the vehicle engine, a refrigerating machine is driven by the storage battery to work, the comfort of the cab is improved, the air-conditioning system is charged by an external power source for refrigeration, carbon emission and exhaust gas emission are reduced, and the environment is protected.
