The invention provides a rear axle assembly with multiple transversely-arranged leaf springs and balancing poles. The rear axle assembly comprises a rear axle support assembly (1), a balancing pole assembly (2), a first rear steel plate spring lower piece assembly (3), a second rear steel plate spring lower piece assembly (4), a left rear horn (5), a right rear horn (6), a left damper (7) and a right damper (8). The rear axle assembly has the advantages that the transversely-arranged steel plate springs integrate spiral springs and swing arms of an original independent suspension, and the rear axle assembly has riding comfort of the independent suspension, also has the advantages that the structure is simple, occupied space is small, the number of parts is small, cost is low and reliability is high, and is beneficial to later manufacturing; through the leaf springs and the dampers, the performance of a disconnected rear axle is achieved, and good running stability and riding comfort are achieved while it is guaranteed that the structure is simple; by means of the balancing pole assembly of a special structure, an automobile has a good anti-tipping effect, and running security is improved.
