The planar two-DOF (Degree Of Freedom) bidirectional reversible connecting rod-type reach stacker comprises a rack, a crane jib, a crane jib rotating mechanism and a crane jib telescopic mechanism, wherein the crane jib comprises a rotating arm and a telescopic arm which are connected in a telescopic manner, the arm body of the rotating arm is provided with a sliding block which can slide relative to the arm body, and the end, far away from the rotating arm, of the telescopic arm is provided with a clamping device; the crane jib rotating mechanism comprises two rotating devices which are located on two sides of the crane jib and are symmetrically arranged, and each rotating device comprises a front rotating rocker, a back rotating rocker and a connecting rod which are sequentially hinged to one another; the crane jib telescopic mechanism comprises two telescopic devices which are located on the two sides of the crane jib and are symmetrically arranged, each telescopic device comprises a telescopic rocker and a telescopic connecting rod, the lower end of each telescopic rocker is hinged to the middle part of the rack, the upper end of each telescopic rocker is hinged to the lower end of the corresponding telescopic connecting rod, and the two ends of each telescopic connecting rod are respectively hinged to the telescopic arm and the corresponding telescopic rocker. According to the reach stacker disclosed by the invention, the maintenance cost is controlled, meanwhile, the redundant travelling paths of the reach stacker are eliminated, and the output trajectory is flexible and diversified.
