The invention relates to a control circuit (30) for at least one contactor, comprising a first and a second connection (11, 12). Said control circuit (30) also comprises a first and second outlet (15, 16) which enables the control circuit (30) to be connected to a first and a second connection of a control bobbin for a contactor. Said control circuit (30) further comprises a holding voltage unit (10) which is connected to the first outlet (15) and is designed to provide a holding voltage for the control bobbin on the one first outlet (15). According to the invention, an electric connection (8) comprises a current control circuit (5) which is designed to control the current circulating through the electric connection (8) to a predetermined value. The invention also relates to a method for operating at least one contactor.
