The invention provides a gravity type steel tube clamp forklift and a steel tube clamping mechanism and a steel tube clamping and forking method thereof. The gravity type steel tube clamp forklift comprises a frame, a travelling power system, an operating control system and a portal lifting system and further comprises the steel tube clamping mechanism which is a liftable sliding frame, wherein the front end of the sliding frame is connected with a turnover support; the sliding frame comprises symmetrically-arranged guide wheel bottom plates, the turnover support comprises a rectangular frame body, first connecting plates corresponding to the guide wheel bottom plates are arranged on one side of the frame body, and an L-shaped pallet fork is arranged on the other side of the frame body; second connecting plates are further arranged between the two first connecting plates; a supporting plate is arranged at the top of the frame body and hinged to one end of a movable arm; the front end of the movable arm is hinged to a clamping arm; the front ends of the guide wheel bottom plates are hinged to the lower ends of the first connecting plates; the inner sides of the middles of the guide wheel bottom plates are hinged to one end of a turnover hydraulic cylinder, and the other end of the turnover hydraulic cylinder is hinged to the upper ends of the first connecting plates; the second connecting plates are hinged to one end of a clamping hydraulic cylinder, and the other end of the clamping hydraulic cylinder is hinged to the tail end, close to the supporting plate, of the movable arm.
