This fuel inlet is equipped with: an inlet pipe that forms a pathway for guiding fuel to a fuel tank; a breather tube which forms a pathway for guiding vapor in the fuel tank toward the leading end side of the inlet pipe; and a retainer that is provided at the leading end of the inlet pipe and has an attaching/detaching mechanism for attaching/detaching a fuel cap, a regulating mechanism for regulating the leading end position of a fueling gun, and air vent holes for the vapor supplied from the breather tube toward the leading end side of the inlet pipe to pass through. The retainer is equipped with: a first component on which the attaching/detaching mechanism is formed; and a second component, on which the regulating mechanism is formed, that is fixed to the first component. The air vent holes are gaps that are formed between the first component and the second component.
