The invention discloses a framework monofilament material for tires. The framework monofilament material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 70-95% of steel wires, 5-12% of polyester resin, 1-5% of a flame retardant and 0.5-2% of an adjuvant, wherein the flame retardant is selected from triphenyl phosphate, decabrominated dipheny ethane or ammonium polyphosphate, and the adjuvant is selected from graphite, molybdenum disulfide and carbon black. The framework monofilament material for the tires is obtained by a method comprising the steps of melting the polyester resin at first, then mixing with the steel wires for 1-2 hours to ensure that the outside of the steel wires is completely wrapped by the polyester resin, and adding the flame retardant and the adjuvant for mixing for 0.5-1h. The framework monofilament material for the tires, disclosed by the invention, is higher in strength and better in adhesive property; and the preparation method is simple and can realize industrialization easily.
