The invention discloses an electronic rearview mirror system of an automobile, which is provided with a camera arranged on the outer side of an automobile door and acquiring rear video, an angle detection device for detecting a rotation angle of a stepping motor, a control unit calculating the current rearview mirror blind spot according to the rotation angle detected by the angle detection device, a directional narrow wave radar arranged below a rearview mirror, and a second camera arranged above an inside rear-view mirror of the automobile and detecting a facial action and a head action of a person. During operation, the control unit adjusts a radar wave emission angle of the directional narrow wave radar according to the calculated rearview mirror blind spot to allow a radar beam angle to cover the rearview mirror blind spot; the control unit receives the facial action and the head action of the person acquired by the second camera to judge whether a driver begins to pay attention to the rearview mirror; and if the control units judges that the driver begins to pay attention to the rearview mirror and a vehicle exists in the rearview mirror blind spot, the control unit gives an alarm to remind the driver.
