The invention relates to an automatic cleaning device and method for an engineering vehicle carriage floor. The automatic cleaning device comprises a vehicle cleaning device, a clear water storage pool and a waste water storage pool. One side plate of the vehicle cleaning device is provided with induction devices. After a carriage plate of an engineering vehicle is opened, the engineering vehicle enters a cleaning area provided with the induction devices, the upper surface and the carriage floor and the inner surfaces of side plates of a carriage are cleaned through nozzles mounted on a left side plate, a right side plate and top cross bars, and waste cleaning liquid can be guided and then can flow out of the carriage; waste liquid for vehicle cleaning flows through a quick grille at the bottom of the cleaning area along with water flow and enters pits; the waste liquid is collected at the pits, flows together to the waste water storage pool and is pumped to other procedures for recovery and processing; accordingly, the interior of the carriage is cleaned, and cyclic recovery of materials is achieved, and automatic control over the whole process is achieved; moreover, the automatic cleaning device has a manual operating function; compared with manual cleaning, the automatic cleaning device is capable of saving time and is efficient, and standard operation can be achieved easily; the materials left after cleaning is completed can be recycled easily without secondary pollution; the automatic cleaning device is reasonable in design, low in manufacturing cost and worth popularizing.
