The invention relates to a guard railing structure on a deck of a ship. The guard railing structure on the deck of the ship comprises a railing and a handrail; the handrail comprises an upper handrail and a lower handrail, wherein the upper handrail is fixedly connected to the top end of the railing, and while the lower handrail is fixedly connected to the middle upper part of the railing; a lighting layer coats the surface of the lower handrail; an upper protecting chain and a lower protecting chain are fixedly connected to the railing and positioned below the lower handrail; a protecting plate is connected between the two protecting chains. According to the guard railing structure on the deck of the ship, the structure is simple; the structure in combination of upper and lower rigid handrails and flexible protecting chains is adopted, so that the safety and convenience can be improved; light articles on the ship can be prevented from being blown away by the wind through the protecting plate; the lighting layer is arranged on the lower handrail, and therefore, the safety is further improved.
