The invention discloses a brake system capable of recovering braking energy, which comprises an energy recovery unit, a trigger switch, a rectification and conditioning circuit, a storage battery and a controller; the energy recovery unit comprises a magnetic brake disc, a brake caliper, a magnetic yoke, a coil winding and a shield. The energy recovery unit is located at a brake in a wheel, and has both a mechanical braking function and an energy recovery function. A braking energy recovery system is connected with the trigger switch, the trigger switch is closed when a brake pedal is pressed by a driver, and the braking energy recovery system operates; when the brake pedal is released by the driver, the trigger switch is opened, and the braking energy recovery system stops operating. When the magnetic brake disc rotates along with the wheel, the magnetic field, which is perpendicular to the radial direction, of the magnetic brake disc also rotates synchronously; magnetic induction lines are constantly cut by the coil winding on the magnetic yoke, so that induced electromotive force is generated, as a result, when the trigger switch is closed, induced current can be generated, the kinetic energy of a vehicle is converted into electric energy, and thereby the energy which is wasted when the vehicle is braked is effectively recovered. The brake system has high market value and social significance.
