Bicycles are popular in the world. Bicycle lanes are arranged in many countries including developed countries. Bicycles are environment-friendly, convenient and good to health beyond doubt. However, bicycles also have defects. For example, bicycles may lead to bicycle disease; some people are not suitable for riding bicycles; efficiency of converting human power to bicycle power is not sufficient and riding a bicycle is labor-costing. The defects affect the wide application of bicycle to a degree. According to the invention, a rider can ride a bicycle allowing a rider taking a sitting posture by taking a sitting posture instead of a saddle-riding posture in a traditional way and upward and downward reciprocating transmission of a crankshaft stepped by two feet can be changed to horizontal swinging-type transmission of a swing rod. The bicycle provided by the utility model also has functions of speed increase and stepless speed change. A field test in the year of 1986 proves that a bicycle with a 400mm small wheel diameter runs at a speed not lower than that of a 28 inch bicycle. The bicycle allowing the rider taking a sitting posture eliminates defects of prior bicycles and makes the rider feel easy and comfortable by arranging a seat backrest and a damping bicycle shock absorber.
