The invention discloses a brake friction plate component and a brake heat fade warning system. The brake friction plate component comprises a brake friction plate and a temperature sensor, wherein the temperature sensor is at least partially fixed in the brake friction plate, or is fixed on the surface of the other side, opposite to a friction working surface, of the brake friction plate. The brake heat fade warning system comprises the brake friction plate component, and further comprises a processor and a warning device, wherein the brake friction plate component is said brake friction plate component; the temperature sensor of the brake friction plate component is connected with the processor; and the process is connected with the warning device. The brake friction plate component and the brake heat fade warning system can monitor the temperature of the friction plate to reduce train operation accidents caused by the brake heat fade, and are simple in structure and low in cost.
