The invention discloses a bus signal priority control method. Rolling periodic signals are adopted to conduct timing planning operation. A rolling period includes the following steps: (1) detecting traffic information to form a detection record; estimating time and queuing length of a bus reaching a crossing of a road according to a detection record, a current status timing plan, an upstream road crossing timing plan, information of time when the bus leaves the upstream road crossing to estimate the state of traffic volume; (2) recognizing an event affecting signal phase switching and making a plurality of alternative timing plan; (3) screening an optimum timing plan in the plurality of alternative timing plan; (4) implementing the optimum timing plan screened in the step (3). By means of the method, the model is generated by introducing a timing plan based on the rule, the shortcomings of large calculation amount and poor real-time performance of a dynamic planning model are overcome, the effect of bus priority on other vehicles is quantized, and the control performance is improved.
