The invention discloses a front sub-frame and an automobile. The front sub-frame comprises two longitudinal arms and cross beams, wherein the two longitudinal arms are oppositely arranged; the cross beams are connected with the two longitudinal arms and comprise first parts, third parts and second parts; the two ends of the first parts are connected with the longitudinal arms; the third parts are positioned on the middle parts; the second parts are connected with the first parts and the third parts; the section factors of the first parts, the second parts and the third parts are reduced in sequence. According to the front sub-frame, when the cross beams are stressed by acting force from a spiral spring of a body, the parts, close to the longitudinal arms, of the two ends of the cross beams are stressed by a larger bending moment effect, and the middle parts are stressed by smaller bending moment; since the section factor of the cross beams is reduced from the two ends to the middle parts in sequence, the stress change born by the cross beams is adapted better. Thus, compared with a straight beam with a uniform section in the prior art, front sub-frame has the advantages that the amount of steel used by the middle parts of the cross beams is less than the amount of steel used by the two ends, so that the amount of used steel is saved on the premise that the stress requirement of the cross beams is guaranteed.
