The invention discloses a vehicle sliding control system and a control method. The control method comprises the specific steps: arranging a clutch mechanism between a wheel connecting disc and the power output end part of a power transmission mechanism in advance, wherein the clutch mechanism is used for connecting or disconnecting the wheel connecting disc and the power transmission mechanism; detecting a running speed signal and an accelerator position signal of a vehicle; calculating the running speed of the vehicle according to the running speed signal, and controlling the clutch mechanism to disconnect the power transmission mechanism and the wheel connecting disc when the running speed of the vehicle is in a preset vehicle speed range and an accelerator is in a fully-release state, so as to enable the vehicle in a sliding state. According to the control method, the sliding operation of the vehicle is controlled, the wear to gears in a transmission case caused by the gear shifting of the vehicle can be eliminated, the service lives of the gears in the transmission case are greatly prolonged, and operating procedures can be greatly simplified, so that the control method is applicable to driving personnel with different operation experiences.
