The invention relates to a two-stage planetary gear mechanism for reducing high speeds, which has at least the following components: a first gear stage, comprising: - at least a first central gear to the introduction of a torque; - A plurality of second planetary disposed transmission gears, which are driven by means of the first speed gear; and a second gear stage, comprising: - a plurality of third planetary disposed gears which are rotatably connected to the second gears; and - a fourth gear wheel which is driven by means of the third gear wheels, wherein at least one of the first gear to the second gear wheels and of the third gears of the fourth gear wheel in each case takes place a speed reduction .; With the two-stage planetary gear proposed here the use of a high-revving electric motor with large speed reduction is possible in a small space.
