The invention discloses an automobile rear view mirror capable of resisting strong shock. The automobile rear view mirror comprises a mirror rack, a mirror sheet and a rim, wherein the mirror sheet is mounted on the front surface of the mirror rack; the rim is arranged at the periphery of the mirror sheet; the automobile rear view mirror is characterized in that a filling material for absorbing impact energy is arranged in an interlayer between the mirror rack and the mirror sheet; an elastic material pad is additionally arranged at the outer edge, behind the mirror sheet, of the inner enclosure of the rim. The filling material, which is polyurethane rubber and capable of absorbing the impact energy, is arranged between the mirror rack and the mirror sheet, and the polyurethane rubber is a high-elasticity macromolecular material; by the polyurethane rubber, the mirror sheet can be in tight contact with the mirror rack, and part of the impact energy can be absorbed; therefore the acting force of the impact on the rear view mirror is reduced, and the impact resistance of the rear view mirror is improved; the elastic material pad is additionally arranged at the outer edge, behind the mirror sheet, of the inner enclosure of the rim, so that a protection effect on the mirror sheet is achieved, and the vibration damage degree of the mirror sheet is lowered.
