The invention discloses an existing traction power supply system based improved parallel through type traction power supply system. A power electronic transform device which is used for replacing the electric split-phase is arranged between every three-phase power grid and a corresponding traction network; an output alpha base and an output beta base of a traction transformer Q of every three-phase power grid are accessed into every traction power substation, wherein the output alpha base and the output beta base are connected with the corresponding traction network through the corresponding power electronic transform device D and a boosting transformer S respectively and the boosting transformer S is connected with the power electronic transform device D; every power electronic transform device D is formed by more than one parallel single-phase to single-phase converter which is used for generating the alternating-current to direct-current to alternating-current transformation. According to the existing traction power supply system based improved parallel through type traction power supply system, the power grid three-phase electricity is changed into the two-base single-phase electricity through the existing three-phase two-phase traction transformer in every traction power substation, the amplitude, the phase and the frequency controllable single-phase electricity of each-base single-phase electricity is obtained through a single-phase step-down and boosting transformer and a single-phase to single-phase PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) converter to implement the through type traction power supply, and accordingly the reactive power and the harmonic wave can be effectively compensated, the load balance can be implemented, and the power quality can be greatly improved and the capacity of every traction power substation can be improved through the parallel connection of the plurality of convertors, the modularization is easy, and the redundant backup of the system is convenient.
