A mechanical anti-vibration speed limiter comprises a base, a rotary shaft, a cam, a push rod, an ejection rod, an air damper and a sliding mechanism, wherein the base is fixed to a locomotive body, and the rotary shaft is connected with a locomotive wheel axle. The air damper is fixed under the base, the push rod is in contact with the cam, the cam is installed on a rotary shaft, and a compression spring is arranged between the push rod and the base. The sliding mechanism comprises a first screw, a first spring, a sleeve, a slide block and a reset screw and is arranged above the ejection rod and located in a transverse channel of the base. The mechanical anti-vibration speed limiter further comprises a travel switch, a branch rod is arranged on the right side of the ejection rod, the travel switch is located right under the branch rod, and the branch rod shifts the travel switch during descending. The mechanical anti-vibration speed limiter controls a brake system by measuring the rotation frequency of a rotary shaft, can achieve brake when a locomotive is overspeed, can also resist to the excitation effect of the locomotive to some extent and decreases false operations as far as possible.
