The invention relates to a novel tower crane, comprising a tower pedestal, a tower body, pull rods and a control unit. The tower body is fixed on the tower pedestal; a swing mechanism is arranged at the upper part of the tower body; a tower cover is arranged above the swing mechanism; a balance arm and an erector arm are arranged at two sides of the bottom of the tower cover; protruding ends of the balance arm and the erector arm are connected to the top of the tower cover through the pull rods respectively; the erector arm is provided with a crane luffing trolley and a crane luffing drawing mechanism; an anti-rollover displacement measurement and control system is fixed on the upper part of the swing mechanism; the balance arm is fixedly provided with a balance-weight variable mechanism assembly; and the control unit is connected to the anti-rollover displacement measurement and control system and the balance-weight variable mechanism assembly through control lines. The tower crane can detect and correct an unbalanced and inclined state of the whole machine of the tower crane automatically, thereby increasing safe running efficiency significantly.
