The invention discloses a multifunctional large-tonnage beam erecting crane and a beam erecting method, relating to the technical field of bridge engineering equipment. The beam erecting method disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps of: S1, assembling the multifunctional large-tonnage beam erecting crane at the pre-installation position of a bridge; S2, erecting a steel truss beam rod part by utilizing a full-rotating crane to form an inter-section steel truss beam; and erecting a steel box beam by utilizing a variable-amplitude crane to form an inter-section steel box beam, wherein the steel truss beam rod part and the steel box beam are erected according to working conditions simultaneously or sequentially; and S3, continuously erecting a next inter-section steel box beam and a next steel truss beam according to the step S2 till completing construction. According to the invention, the beam lifting operation of large-tonnage steel box beams of long-span railway bridges is realized; high-efficiency assembly of steel truss beam rod parts is realized; the project progress is satisfied; the construction efficiency is increased; and the production cost is reduced.
