The invention relates to a lift car type lift braking system. The lift car type lift braking system is characterized by comprising two box type lift car braking devices arranged at the top of a lift car, and a friction braking sheet attached on an outer wall body of the lift car, wherein each box type lift car braking device comprises a hydraulic driving mechanism and a boosting mechanism. The lift car type lift braking system only utilizes a mechanical structure and is not controlled by an electronic element, so that the serious consequences caused by system problems including ageing of electronic elements, computer freezing and the like are avoided; the influences on the system by interferences are removed and guarantee is provided for the operation of the lift car, so that the stability of the system is improved. Therefore, the lift car type lift braking system can be widely applied to the field of safety guarantees of a lift car type lift.
