Automotive vehicle with electric or hybrid propulsion comprises a rechargeable electric accumulation battery, a braking system allowing the recovery of energy, the battery being rechargeable during braking phases and during charging phases under the control of a supply system (2) comprising means for determining a maximum allowable power for the battery (BATPIN); the means for determining the maximum allowable power for the battery comprise a first mapping (3) making it possible to read a first maximum power on the basis of the temperature and of the state of charge of the battery, and a second mapping (4) making it possible to read a second maximum power on the basis of the temperature and of the state of charge of the battery.
