The invention discloses an unmanned flapping wing air vehicle, belonging to the field of aerotechnics. The unmanned flapping wing air vehicle comprises an engine body, a tail wing, a left flapping wing device, a right flapping wing device and a landing frame, wherein the left flapping wing device and the right flapping wing device are same in structure, parameter and operation principle, and are symmetrically arranged at the left and right sides of the engine body so as to generate lift force; the tail wing is used for controlling the air vehicle to pitch up and down and yaw; the right flapping wing device comprises a motor, a swing shaft, a wing shaft, ribs, a central shaft, a unidirectional bearing, a central gear, an approximate central gear, a swing shaft casing pipe, a far central gear and a wing gear, wherein the ribs are rectangular panel rigid ribs; the drive ratio of the central gear to the wing gear is 1 to 1; the ribs flap downward to keep horizontal, can generate relatively high lift force, and boost tangentially, and the resistance is relatively low. The air vehicle is high in efficiency, and is suitable for multiple tasks such as aerial photography, geographic survey, traffic duty, military reconnaissance and disaster relief.
