ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a device and a method associated with delivery parcel packages while utilizing autonomous driving truck vehicles and remotely loadable parcel package lockers. One of the biggest hurdles that faces autonomous driving vehicles being the dominant technology in last-mile delivery is the fact that there will be no employee to sort the packages, making the walk from the back of the truck and hand-deliver the parcel packages to customer. With respect to the device, it is a parcel package delivery locker system to be added on to autonomous driving vehicle technology and also requires an automotive vehicle frame platform and drivetrain assembly that may it be gas, diesel or electric driven. This system would allow courier companies to utilize autonomous driving vehicles to deliver parcel packages to the customers without any human involvement. The system also has a stationary parcel package locker that works together to offer a better system of delivering parcel packages. It also allows the company to remotely load parcel packages in parcel package lockers. This device organizes and stores all the parcel packages in the truck while the customers to can autonomously retrieve their parcel packages from the truck without any human help. All this is done while the system utilizing the entire back of the truck for the storage of parcels packages. This allows the courier to cut costs and dramatically improve productivity and efficiency. This device can also load and unload packages to and from our parcel package lockers. This system also makes the last-mile delivery process a lot more predictable, as it removes many of the unknown variables involved in the delivery of parcel packages. This device and system would increase efficiency and effectiveness in many aspects of the delivery. During the last mile delivery process as the last mile is very labor and resource-intensive. With this device, we eliminated the labor cost dramatically and we increase the efficiency of the trucks by 3-4 times. This device has also designed to be reliable, as all major systems have redundant backup systems while adding minimal cost and material cost. The manufacturing of the device will require minimal manufacturing die and manufacturing tooling. The device was designed to also be a module, easy and quick to repair. Many of the parts used in the device are off the shelf items which are readily available. The device will also require very or no spraying of paint. This device was designed to be cheap, reliable, fixable, versatile, and profitable. The core components of the invention are the mobile locker system for an automated driving vehicle, the stationary locker system, the slotted pallet, the pallet square tracks and a number of computer networks used to organize package information, customer information, real-time tracking of packages and coordinate package pick up. Generally speaking, are configured as follows: Ultimately, at the conclusion of these steps, the courier was able to deliver packages to the customer, unload packages to the parcel package lockers while using autonomous driving vehicles which would reduce delivery cost dramatically, the system will also allow the vehicles to be used during off-hours to increase efficiency to better serve the customers of quicker delivery times and increase satisfaction.
