The invention will enable perfect alignment of a vehicle in a garage or other confined space. It has application in both personal and commercial garages. Personal Garage: A laser will be attached to the center of the automatic garage door opener unit, which is attached to the garage ceiling or door lifter. When the garage door opens (the door for vehicle entry), it triggers the light on the garage door opener to illuminate. The light triggers the laser to activate. A laser beam, in the form of a straight line, will be projected downward in the direction of the garage door. The beam is seen on the dash of the car as it enters the garage. The beam guides the positioning of the car. The driver will just position the vehicle so the laser line is in the middle of the dash, indicating that the car is perfectly centered between the left and right sides of the garage door entrance. This application prevents a vehicle from striking either side of the garage door entrance as it enters and exits the garage. It also prevents the vehicle from striking any objects on either side of the car once inside the garage. As an option, two of these products may be used; the first as described above, and the second placed at a suitable location in the garage such that it projects a beam of light from left to right, which serves as a "stop sign" for the vehicle as it inches forward into the space. Commercial Garage: A laser will be attached to the center of the automotive hoist (commonly referred to as a lift). It will be activated by a 110v on/off switch, which will be situated on one of the hoist's posts. When the switch is turned on a laser beam, in the form of a straight line, will be projected downward in the direction of the garage door. The beam is seen on the dash of the car as it enters the garage. The driver will just position the vehicle so the laser line is in the middle of the dash, indicating that the car is perfectly centered between two posts of the lift. This invention will save time by enabling a mechanic or other automotive worker to quickly bring in and park the car to be worked on.
