This invention relates to communication technology of rail train, in particular to multiple-input and multiple-output wireless optical communication system for rail train, which comprises of vehicle mounted network element, signal box. At least two optical receiving devices are arranged on the outer side of the top of each train compartment, an optical splitter and at least two optical emitting devices are arranged on every the cross arm of each overhead lines portal crossing pillar above the rail, a signal box is arranged on any cross arm of every N overhead lines portal crossing pillar, and the vehicle-mounted network element is arranged inside the train compartment. The present invention makes the beams emitted by the two optical emitting devices that are installed on the same cross arm of overhead lines portal crossing pillar carry the same data steam, and doubles spectrum utilization ratio compared with diversity mode, moreover, it makes the beams emitted by optical emitting devices on different cross arm of overhead lines portal crossing pillar carry different data stream with different wavelengths, therefore, it effectively solves the interference between wireless optical beams.
