SOCIO ECONOMICAL SMART IOT BASED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM In present scenario of traffic control system the average vehicle waiting time at traffic junction is fixed irrespective of traffic density. Hence it increases the fuel consumption, pollution & health hazards. In smart traffic management system the average vehicle time should be less in case of low traffic & when the traffic is high the average vehicle time should be more. Experimentally it is noted that the fuel consumption by a car is 0.000331it/sec with AC turned ON. If a car has waiting time is nearly 50 seconds then it consumes (50*0.00033) that is 0.01651its. Normal cities can be transformed into "Smart cities" by exploiting the information and communication technologies (ICT). The paradigm of Internet of Thing (IOT) can play an important role in realization of smart cities. This research proposes an IOT based intelligent traffic management solutions for smart cities where vehicle time dynamically controlled depending upon the traffic density & offered the safety of pedestrians during crossing the road by giving the alarm or falling the gate at the time of busy traffic rate.
