This underwater power supply system comprises: a work apparatus that is disposed underwater and includes at least one power-receiving pad; a first battery unit that is detachably attached to the work apparatus, and includes a power supply pad capable of supplying power to the power-receiving pad in a contactless manner and a battery electrically connected to the power supply pad; and an underwater vehicle that moves back and forth between the work apparatus and a sea vessel or an underwater station suspended from the sea vessel. The underwater vehicle conveys a second battery unit to the work apparatus, the second battery unit including a power supply pad capable of supplying power to the power-receiving pad in a contactless manner and a battery electrically connected to the power supply pad, attaches the second battery unit to the work apparatus, and removes the first battery unit from the work apparatus.
