POSITIONER FOR ELECTRODYNAMIC SHAKER Examples disclosed herein generally relate to methods and apparatus for the positioning and alignment of an electrodynamic shaker system (100) relative to an excitation point on a structure tobetested. The electrodynamic shaker system (100) includes abase plate (104), a support plate (120), and a locking mechanism (150). The base plate (104) comprises a plurality of rollable ball transfer units (108) coupled to the base plate (104). The support plate (120), supporting an electrodynamic shaker (140) and trunnion (130) thereon, is seated on the ball transfer units (108) of the base plate (104) such that the support plate (120) may be aligned relative to the test article via the ball transfer units (108). Once the electrodynamic shaker system (100) is in the desired location, a flexure (144) of the electrodynamic shaker (140) may be precisely aligned with and coupled to a test article.
