Publishing Beyond the Desktop THERE is a traditional image of technicians and managers in aerospace companies working in selfcontained units, more often than not, passing volumes of documentation from section to section. Route maps, charts, System manuals, specification data etc., all of which have to conform to a myriad of standards. The paradox is that despite the extensive computerisation being applied to other areas of the industry very little has been done to this document intensive arena. Yet most of the aerospace industry's important information is still document dependent.
