THE Etablissements Lioré et Olivier, whose plant is located at Argenteuil, near Paris, have completed tests on two new flying boats of interest. These are the LeO H 27 and the LeO H 24-2, both of which have the same aerodynamic characteristics and are derivations of the LeO H 24, built in 1929 as an experimental type. The H 27 has been built for trans-Atlantic flights to South America, and will shortly be prepared for its first ocean flight over the route of the old Compagnie Aéropostale. The H 24-2 was built as a transport machine for the Air France trans-Mediterranean Service, and after tests at Antibes has already been placed in service between Marseilles and Algeria.
