AN interesting single-seater fighter incorporating several innovations for aircraft of this type has recently been introduced by the Polish aircraft firm of Panstwowe Zaklady Lotnicze of Warsaw. The new machine, which is known as the P.Z.L. 1., is a high wing monoplane of all-metal construction with a Hispano-Suiza 600 h.p. engine. The arrangement of the high wing gives the pilot probably better visibility than any other type of high wing monoplane so far designed for pursuit work, and while the idea is not altogether new, its design has been so arranged that this construction has proved to be practical and efficient.
