MR FRED MULLEY, the Minister of Aviation, announced plans for the merger of the airframe interests of the British Aircraft Corporation and Hawker Siddeley Aviation during a debate on the aircraft industry in the House of Commons on November 21. Statements issued by the two companies indicated their willingness to co-operate with the Government in examining in detail the proposals made, and the best ways to achieve the objectives set forth by the Government.
