Abstract The results of X-ray and photometric observations (1981–1987) are given for the Be star X-ray binary A 0535+26. An analysis of the photometric and X-ray data enabled us to determine the radiation of a disk of accreting matter that gradually accumulates, precipitating afterwards on the neutron star's surface. The latter causes an X-ray flare. Physical parameters of the accreting accumulating disk are determined.
